Chicken Rice Ball
The Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls are a speciality of Melaka. Its name
describes it all – the rice is boiled in chicken stock, chicken oil and salt, and flavoured with ginger and
garlic. It is moulded into balls, and served with delicious boiled chicken, cut up, and garnished with
cucumbers and spring onion. To top it off, chilli sauce is served with the dish, to make everything just
perfect.
Famosa Chicken Rice Ball
Famosa Chicken Rice Ball, located on Jalan Hang Jebat (Jonker Street),
is known for their delicious chicken rice ball speciality. They use the traditional Hainanese chicken rice
recipe, and also serve roast pork, duck and curry dishes, other than the traditional chicken. The restaurant
sits comfortably in three adjoining shop-houses, which are about 100 years
old.
